For sale: an Akai HX-A201 Stereo Cassette Deck, a Japanese-made vintage cassette recorder with Dolby B and C noise reduction.

The HX-A201 features a distinctive silver front panel, a large cassette compartment, mechanical transport controls and a peak-level display. Its straightforward design offers the essential functions for playing and recording compact cassettes, along with separate microphone inputs and adjustable recording levels.

This example is fully working and remains in good vintage condition, with some cosmetic wear from previous use.

The cassette deck is generally well-preserved but shows some visible signs of age and use.

• Scratches and scuff marks on the silver top cover.

• A more noticeable scratch on the upper casing.

• Light scratches and marks around the front panel.

• Some cosmetic wear along the side panels and edges.

• Minor paint wear along the lower edge of the rear panel.

• Original buttons, sliders and front-panel lettering remain present.

The overall appearance is still clean and presentable. Please examine the photographs for a detailed impression of its cosmetic condition.
