For sale: Dual CT 1440 is a substantial vintage stereo tuner from Dual, built in Germany and finished with a brushed aluminium front panel, large analogue tuning scale and classic 1970s styling.
Alongside FM reception, the CT 1440 also covers MW, LW and SW, making it considerably more versatile than a typical FM-only tuner. The front panel provides seven FM preset positions, manual tuning, stereo and muting controls, AFC and dedicated band-selection switches.

- Front panel presents very nicely overall
- Some scratches and general age-related marks are visible on the side panels
- Light cosmetic wear consistent with age

The tuner was professionally repaired on 31 July 2026 after being brought in with a no-sound fault.

- Power supply fault diagnosed
- Defective +15 V voltage regulator replaced
- Replacement regulator fitted with a heatsink
- Mains suppression capacitor replaced
- Original RIFA-type suppression capacitor removed as a preventative/reliability measure
